Experiments at RIKEN-RIBF
MUST2 Experimental program at RIBF in 2010 - RIBF57 - bigRIPS area
Exotic beams at high energy (> 200MeV/n) at RIBF in RIKEN
Top view of the base plate of the reaction chamber implanted in the F8 area of the BigRIPS line at RIKEN. The set-up in the chamber includes 8 MUST2 telescopes and one PPAC. Two other PPACs are located in F8 upstream of the reaction chamber.
To use the intense exotic beams of the RIBF facility (in particular 24O at ~ 1000/s) an experimental campaign was scheduled at RIKEN in 2010; the MUST2 detectors were transported from GANIL (France) to the RIKEN accelerator in Japan. The RIBF57 experiment for the spectroscopy of 24O via elastic and inelastic scattering on proton target was performed in 2010 in the BigRIPS line at RIBF.
