MUST2 Experimental program at RIBF in 2010 -  RIBF57 - bigRIPS area

Exotic beams at high energy  (> 200MeV/n) at RIBF in RIKEN

 
Top view of the base plate of the reaction chamber implanted in the F8 area of the BigRIPS line at RIKEN. The set-up in the chamber includes 8 MUST2 telescopes and one PPAC. Two other PPACs are located in F8 upstream of the reaction chamber.

To use the intense exotic beams of the RIBF facility  (in particular ²⁴O at ~ 1000/s) an experimental campaign was scheduled at RIKEN in 2010;  the  MUST2 detectors were transported from GANIL (France) to the RIKEN accelerator in Japan. The RIBF57 experiment for the spectroscopy of ²⁴O via elastic and inelastic scattering on proton target was performed in 2010 in the BigRIPS line at RIBF.
